Orange Angels .... hard zien werken .... is .. of zijn de prijzen al verdeeld.
Waar word dan EuroBasket 2015  gehouden .....
Nou ...  dat word .... gespeeld in Hongarije  samen met Roemenie
van  11 tot en met 28 Juni 2015.

EuroBasket Women 2015 participants, dates, venues and competition system

Final six participants in EuroBasket Women 2015 were determined on Wednesday.

Five of the teams were through to the tournament even before playing their respective games due to Israel losing on the road to Bulgaria. Final team to clinch their place was Italy who needed to not lose to Latvia by more than 25 points, or they would have had to hope that Portugal did not beat Estonia.

Participants are as follows:

Hungary, Romania – hosts.

Spain (2013 champions), France, Turkey, Serbia, Belarus and Czech Republic as participants of 2014 World Championship which will be held later on this year.

Greece from the first qualification tournament last year.

Slovak Republic, Poland, Lithuania, Great Britain, Latvia, Italy, Montenegro, Ukraine, Russia, Sweden andCroatia from the second qualification tournament.

EuroBasket Women 2015 will be played from June 11 to 28.

The first stage will be held Sopron, Szombathely (both Hungary), Oradea, Timisoara (both Romania). Teams will be split in four groups of five teams. Top four teams from each group will advance to the next round. It will be played from June 11 to 15, so there will be four games in five games for everybody.

For the second round teams will come together to form two groups of 8 teams. From the second round onwards the tournament will move to Hungary. That part will be played at Debrecen and Győr. There will once again be four games for each team against the teams they didn’t play in the first round. These games will be played for June 17 to 22, so that’s four games in six day after a one day off. That’s a total of 8 games in 12 days for the 16 teams that will make it out of the first round.

In the second round each group’s top four will advance to the quarterfinals and eventually play for the title and places in Rio 2016 Olympics. Final stages will take place from June 24 to 28 in capital of Hungary – Budapest.
