I Believe We Can Beat Them ... The Jeeeedi

The Youngster van Turkije ...

The nice words off below over the clash off Saturday night down town Lille is from the web site off

Our muchoooooooooo .... thanks for this nice words.

FEARLESS OSMAN WARNS TURKEY CAN UPSET FRANCE

6. Cedi Osman (Turkey)
Cedi Osman was doing a fine job concealing any nerves he may have been feeling on the eve of Turkey's knock-out clash with France
Following Turkey's Friday practice at Lille Arena, Cedi Osman took a last look at the vast space around him and did a quick mental calculation of the thousands of French fans those gigantic stands can hold on Saturday night.
The final result, no matter how high exactly, did not have even a minimal effect on his beaming, infectiously optimistic smile.
Osman turned to answer questions as upbeat as ever, as if Turkey were not only a few hours away from facing the defending EuroBasket champions in the Round of 16 in front of an unprecedented home crowd - certainly over 20,000 French fans at the very least.
This kid does not get intimidated by anything.
"It makes it tougher that France have home-court advantage," the 20-year-old Turkish small forward told eurobasket2015.org.
6. Cedi Osman (Turkey)
Despite his young age, Osman is already one of the most important players for Turkey
"They are the champions and they have very good players like Tony ParkerNicolas BatumBoris Diaw, all experienced players who play in the NBA.
"So we know it will be hard for us, but we will go out and give our best to win."
Nobody doubts Turkey's will and ability to put up a fight of course, but France have been considered in the months leading up to the tournament as the overwhelming favourites to triumph at EuroBasket 2015.
"I know that," Osman said.
"Actually, I was also thinking so.
"But in their games against Poland, Russia, Finland (in Group A action in Montpellier), I think they were not so good.
"If we play like we did against Germany and Italy in Berlin (in Group B), I believe we can beat them."
Ergin Ataman (Besiktas Milangaz) during the EuroChallenge Final Four 2012
"Cedi has been a great for us since the start of the tournament, he is now showing his quality on this level" - Ergin Ataman
In that game against Germany last Tuesday, Turkey were playing in front of a 13,600-strong crowd comprising overwhelmingly of German fans.
"When you play for the national team, you are going to be facing pressure no matter what, even without any fans," Turkey legend Hedo Turkoglu said.
"Sooner or later the young guys on our team will need to learn to deal with these situations, because they will be the ones wearing this jersey for the next years."
Osman certainly proved to be a fast learner in the crucial clash with Germany.
He picked up his third foul early in the third quarter and not only managed to stay on the floor until the end, but he led Turkey to victory with big plays down the stretch, finishing with 17 points and five rebounds.
It was his senior national team scoring-high, until he dropped 22 points on Iceland on Thursday.
Turkey's habitual starting five includes the experienced core of Ersan Ilyasova, Sinan Güler, Semih Erden and Ali Muhammed but they will need a similarly big performance by their youngest starter if his prediction of an upset is to materialise.
"Cedi has been a great for us since the start of the tournament, he is now showing his quality on this level," Turkey head coach Ergin Ataman, who gave Osman his senior national team debut in last summer's FIBA Basketball World Cup, asserted.
"Sometimes we use him at the '4' position, sometimes he even plays as a point guard.
5. Nicolas Batum (France)
"It will be good to play against Batum, I am very excited about that" - Osman
"He uses his speed and his skills, he can attack the basket or run the pick'n'roll.
"He is showing that he is young in years but very experienced as a player, as well as talented.
"I think that very soon he will be one of the best players in Europe."
On Saturday, that young man for whom the sky is the limit will be going up against a player who plays at his position and has already earned the label of one of the best European players.
Osman nods in agreement that France's Nicolas Batum has been a reference player at the small forward spot in recent years.
"It will be so nice good to play against Batum, I am very excited about that," Osman said.
"It will be a great experience for me to guard him, to match up with him.
"I am also looking forward of course to play against Tony Parker.
"And I think we can be the winners."
