In Praha was de loting voor FIBA World Cup 2019 Pre - Qualifiers. Zeg maar een voor ronde kwalificatie wedstrijden om in 2017 van af September mee te mogen doen aan de echte kwalificatie wedstrijden met de echte basketball landen van uit Europa.
Nieuwe en oude bonds coach ..coach Van Helfteren en de Orange Lions zijn ingedeeld in Group B en treffen wel een oude bekende daar in en dat is Austria en de derde land is Albania.

PRAGUE (FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 European Pre-Qualifiers) - The 13 teams that will play in the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 European Pre-Qualifiers were drawn into their respective groups in Prague, Czech Republic on Saturday morning.The draw followed on from Friday's FIBA EuroBasket Women 2017 Draw Ceremony in Prague's Old Town Hall, and the FIBA European youth championship draws, which also took place on Saturday morning.
Under FIBA's New Competition System and Calendar which comes into effect in 2017, 32 European countries will take up the challenge to be among the 12 teams from the region that will qualify to play at the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 in China.The 32 teams will consist of the 24 national sides competing at FIBA EuroBasket 2017, as well as 8 of the 13 teams that have registered to play in the Pre-Qualifiers.
The groups for the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 European Pre-Qualifiers are as follows:

Following the six days of action, the top two teams from each group will earn their spot in the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 Qualifiers, with the first window taking place from 20-28 November 2017.The teams will play all other teams in their group on a home-and-away basis with all games taking place on Wednesdays and Saturdays between 2 and 19 August 2017.
