Every year in the United States, February is celebrated as "Black History Month" to honor the contributions and history of African Americans. Popovic tells his opinion about this month :
I think this month is very valuable. Our league is made up of many black players. We understand this month correctly. How can we deny it? But more importantly, we live in a racist country that we do not yet understand. Even if some people are angry, it is important to pay attention to this month. By doing so, we understand that people are in front of us and that the situation is still important to us, there is much more to do about it.
