Wat is er dan wilde er aan ... nou als het nieuws ons dan snel in haalt
kan ik jullie vertellen dat de Fiba  board bij elkaar zijn in Spanje heden weekend en
as. Maandag word de loting getrokken voor de kwalificatie voor EK. 2015

Maar dat wisten jullie het al ... ik had ook al over bericht .... lees paar columns hier onder.
Heden  morgen werd ook bekend gemaakt welke 4 landen in aanmerking kwamen voor de
4 Wild Card`s  voor de WK. basketbal 2014 in Spanje.

Dat zijn ... Turkijke .... jeeeeeeeeeeee ..... Griekenland .... Brazilie .... en de basketballers
van de koude pool cirkel ... de jonge honden van Hendrik Dettmann ... The Wolff Pack ...
Finland dus.

Wel was het op Vrijdag al bekend ... dat er aantal landen waren die zich terug trokken voor deze
wild kaart actie. Immers waren het er 7 landen.
Als ik jullie zeg dat landen als Azure Blaaauwww ... Italie .... Rusland ..... Duitsland ..... zich terug
trokken voor deze actie ...reden ..... geld ... geld .. geld ....  met deze nieuws was in Turkije al
de hele nacht een zo mid zomers stemming en dat in de mooie zon aan del costa  der Barcelona
kust streken der basketball natie.

Het blijft maar verbazend .... maar ook soms terecht ... is de mening van deze oude gek waar
Turkije al 10 jaar lang heeeeeeeeeel veeeeeeeeel geld heeft investeerde in basketball  en 4 jaar terug
zelf de WK. georganiseerd in Istanbul en deze zomert ..... nou tjaaa .. zomert ... het is in Oktober
2014 de dames WK. ook in Istanbul word georganiseerd.
Iedereen leeft dan ook naar deze mooie gebeurtenis en voor Turkije is dit wild card dan ook iets
moois en na de debacle van de jongs leden EK. in Solvenie waar Turkije na het verlies onder andere tegen
Finland  in de eerste ronde naar huis ging.

Turkije heeft wat recht te zetten en niet presteren als ze alleen maar in hun eigen land iets organiseren
effe voor jullie info .. Turkije is wel de verliezende finalist van de WK. 2010  in Istanbul van ...
USA.

Turkey Receives Wild Card, will Play at 2014 FIBA World Cup

FIBA’s Central Board announced that Turkey was one of four countries to receive a Wild Card to compete in the 2014 FIBA World Cup.

Today at a meeting in Barcelona, Spain FIBA’s Central Board announced that Turkey was one of four countries to receive a Wild Card to compete in the 2014 FIBA World Cup.
“I am excited that Turkey will have an opportunity to defend its medal at the 2014 FIBA World Cup,” Turkish Basketball Federation President Turgay Demirel said. “Given our successes in recent years, a gathering of the world’s top basketball countries would not have been complete without Turkey.”
The World Cup will be held in Spain starting on 30 August, and it will feature the world’s top 24 teams. There initially were 15 candidates for the Wild Card, and the FIBA Central Board evaluated their candidacies based on sporting and promotional aspects, economic aspects and governance aspects.
“We made the strongest possible case for Turkey’s inclusion in the World Cup,” Demirel said. “This decision reflects the respect Turkish basketball has within the international basketball community, which is the product of years of hard work by players, coaches, managers and technical staff. I know our national team players are looking forward to making their country proud in Spain.”
Brazil, Finland and Greece received the other three Wild Cards.
On Monday 3 February FIBA will announce the tournament draw. Turkey will be placed in one of four cities: Bilbao, Gran Canaria, Granada or Seville. The Final Round of the tournament will take place in Barcelona and Madrid.
Turkey has participated in every FIBA World Championship for men since 2002. It hosted the tournament in 2010, when it turned in its best ever performance, advancing all the way to the finals and winning a silver medal.
This summer will also mark the first time that both Turkey’s men’s and women’s national teams have competed in the World Championship. Turkey is hosting the 2014 FIBA World Championship for Women, which begins on 27 September in Istanbul and Ankara.
