Praha`s ...... Lente

waar Fenerbahce Istanbul tegen Dynamo Kursk speelde.

ZVVZ USK Prague Crowned Champions
13. Danielle Robinson (ZVVZ USK Praha)
Danielle Robinson stole the show with 18 second-half points
Turning Point: Perhaps it wasn't a turning point as such, since Prague were always on the front foot, but with UMMC sensing a comeback at 63-56 behind but with the ball, Jana Vesela came up with a priceless hustle steal as Ekterinburg tried to initiate the fast break. She handed it to Danielle Robinson and she gleefully handed her team a ten-point cushion to take into final the three minutes - and they certainly needed it.
Stats Don't Lie: Despite being one of the best three-point shooting teams in the competition, UMMC were an excruciating 1-of-16 from long-range and it cost them the opportunity of a third EuroLeague Women title.
Game Heroes: There were heroes all over the floor for the winning team, but it was hard to look past the incredible energy and quickness of Danielle Robinson who really gave Prague impetus during the third quarter and collected a game high 24 points. Meanwhile Kia Vaughn was a tower of strength and deservedly took the MVP award after registering 18 points and 12 rebounds in what was her second double-double at the tournament.
ZVVZ USK Prague have won their first ever EuroLeague Women title after stunning favourites UMMC Ekaterinburg with a pulsating 72-68triumph in front of thousands of their jubilant supporters in the Czech capital.
The historic accomplishment will be celebrated long into the night after the underdogs tore up the script to take down the Russian juggernauts as head coach Natalia Hejkova wrote herself a legendary line in EuroLeague Women history.
The play-caller won her fifth title in five attempts, with her flawless record being made possible by a superb team effort which left Ekaterinburg playing catch-up for the most part and ruing their blunted three-point game.

There was incredible late drama as Prague almost snatched defeat from the jaws of victory after coming close to squandering a nine-point lead with 26 seconds remaining.
But a pair of free-throws in the dying seconds from the ice-cool Jana Vesela got the job done to spark incredible scenes of joy after the final buzzer.
From the outset, the host club played in the same vein as their semi-final win against Fenerbahce, utilising extraordinary defence, aggression and belief.
They kept making plays at both ends of the floor, especially offensively.
UMMC couldn't find an answer as they continued searching for the kind of run that would turn the tide in their favour.
In stark contrast to UMMC, triples from Jana VeselaAlena Hanusova and Laia Palau put Prague 17-10 ahead and while their opponents cut the gap to 32-28 at the interval, Vaughn and Robinson would re-inject major life into their title bid.
The livewire Robinson was unstoppable in the third quarter and poured in ten points during the period as the hosts continued to keep some daylight between themselves and UMMC.
That daylight began to dim at times in the final quarter, but a big triple from Sonja Petrovic steadied the nerves at 61-52 with five minutes remaining.
Prague still led by nine points inside the last 30 seconds before they almost inflicted heartbreak on themselves with a nervous conclusion.
However, they managed to nudge themselves over the line to complete what many will see as something of a fairytale finish to the EuroLeague Women season.
