Het waren de harde nooten die kraakten op Diensdag avond in de laatste
groeps wedstrijden van de Eurochallenge Cup.
Zeg maar de cup nr. 3 bij de mannen. Waar de verrassing van deze cup
uit Finland kwam ... Joensuun Kataja ... plaatselijke helden daar werden 2è in de
groep achter Pinar Karsiyaka ... Izmir en zo de play - off``s bereikt hebben.
De team van Sergey Bazarevic ... dit voor de oudere jongeren onder ons ......
uit moedertje Rusland ..
Krasnye Krylia heeft als ongeslagen status de play - off`s bereikt en dit zegt dan
dat er twee teams zijn uit rusland ... twee uit La France en twee uit Duitsland zijn.
Maar onze international Robin Smeulders breikte ook met zijn team
EWE Baskets Oldenburg .. Duitsland ... de play - off ronde en daar zijn wij erg
blij mee en wachten nog steeds dat er een Nederlandse team mee doet met de Europa Cup`s
her en der in Europa.
Dat is toch waar we heen willen ????
Kijk nou eens dicht bij je eigen huis aub. en niet naar de NBA ???
met al je bedoelingen en insteek ..... dat is niet haal baar voor Nederland.
wij hooren ook toch aan dit oude continent ??? waarom in hemels naam doen we nou zo moeijlijk
over vinden van de juiste visie en beleid en die geld die wel beschikbaar is
en geloof me er is meer ......... daar investeren waar het goed van pas komt.
Ik klets maar een raak en als we zo bij de mannen basketball droomen van NBA
taverelen en ook bij de dames ... dan komen we er niet.
Wat er dan over blijft is dat de hoogste geplaatste teams .. dus de nr. 1`s in de groep
thuis voordeel mee krijgen en best off three .. play - off`s plaats vind en
dat zijn op 12 Maart en 14 Maart . Is er dan een derde wedstrijd noodig
dan is dat op 19 Maart.
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm ............. Maart word dan een drukke maand zeg
met al die play - off`s her en der.

Basketball fans could keep their calculators in their pockets on Tuesday night with a number of one-sided encounters making the EuroChallenge Last 16 final standings relatively straightforward.
On the final night of Last 16 action, there were still a number of possibilities that could eventuate with eight teams vying for three remaining Quarter-Final play-off spots.
However, losses for a number of potential Quarter-Finalists made the mathematics somewhat easier.
BK Venstpils' loss in Group I, followed by Joensuun Kataja's win later in the night meant the Finns advanced alongside Pinar Karsiyaka at the expense of the Latvians and Gaz Metan Medias.
In Group J, Paris Levallois won their direct head-to-head battle with Szolnoki Olaj to take out second in the group, and move to the next round with fellow French club BCM Gravelines.
Krasnye Krylia crushed Tofas BC to remain unbeaten at the top of Group K, meaning Khimik simply needed to win at home over Norrkoping Dolphins to also keep their EuroChallenge season alive. The Ukrainian side duly obliged by coasting to a simple victory.
It was already known that the German duo of Ewe Baskets and Telekom Baskets Bonn would advance from Group L. Wins for both teams on Tuesday meant that Ewe Baskets remained ahead of their German rivals in the group standings.
The format of the Quarter-Final Play-Offs is a best-of-three series with the higher ranked team hosting the first game, and a third game if required. The games will take place on 12 and 14 March, with the third game scheduled for 19 March if it is needed.
A decision about the venue of the Final Four, which is scheduled to take place from 26-28 April, will be announced following the commencement of the quarter-final play-offs.
