Waar we kei hard de waarheid ervaren hebben rest ons nog een wedstrijd om te winnen
voor ons zelf wel tegen de thuis club.
Voor mijn neus staan de twee landen in de finale van deze kwalificatie toernooi
en dat zijn Griekenland en Estonia.
In onderlinge duel mogen ze uitmaken wie naar de play off ronde toe gaat
als ik vrij mag zijn om zo te formuleren.
na drie aanvallen heen en weer ... waar de tipp off voor Estonia was is het nr. 10 van Griekenland
Pelagia die haar team 2 - 0 voor brengt en direct aanval er na is nr. 5 van Estonia Viive - Kai
die 2 - 2 maakt en we zijn onder weg waar hard word verdedigd en geen cadeaus weg gegeven word
staat nu al ons een harde finale te wachten.
Wel gewaagd van de coach van Estland om de ster nr. 10 Merike Anderson pas in te brengen
als we nog 4. 13 te gaan hebben in het eerste kwart van deze finale en is het 11 - 4 voor
Griekenland. Waar ik nu al op het scorebord zie dat er 5 speelters zijn bij de Griekse dames
die al op bord te zien zijn met hun scores is na de inleggertje van Mailis Pokk de
eerste time out voor Estonia en we hebben 3.35 te gaan in deze eerste kwart is het 13 - 4.
Wie is dan goed genoeg om die bal onder het bord te krijgen bij de aanval van Estonia
en als we het einde naderen van dit eerste kwart hebben ze maar 4 punten gemaakt
en prompt is daar Maaja Bratka die de bal onder het bord krijgt en ze legt het veiloos in en
de aanval er op is ook al weer raak at the buzzer en gaan met de stand van 15 - 8
naar de wel verdiende thee einde eerst kwart dus.
Wie is dan goed uit de start blokken in deze tweede kwart en zie ik dat de Griekse dames hard en medegenloos van start gaan in een tijd van 4 min is het 24 - 11 voor Griekeland en is de tweede time out voor coach Levkoi van Estland op 6. 30.
Na de geruide thee op de banken zie ik dat coach Dikeoulakos van Griekenland met zijn andere 5 gaat spelen.
Is het dan niet goed genoeg waar we op 4.49 een time out krijgen van Griekenland
is het 26 - 14 en zie ik meteen de eerste 5 van Griekenland op het veld staan en schiet
prompt nr. 12 Aikaterina Sotiriou een drietje in en gaan de eind fase in van deze tweede kwart.
Geef mij maar die Saz ...... een soort gitaar waar ze in Griekenland ook wel weten wat het betekent ......
zegt Zoi Dimitrakou en ik wals er wel door heen en harde werklust aan de kant van Estomia door
Merike Anderson word zo beantwoord door Zoi Dimitrakou en een harde drive naar de basket
van haar at the buzzzerrr .... gaan we de rust in en zien dat het 33 - 19 is voor haar team.
Als de arbeids vitamintjes ingeslagen is begint Estland aan de tweede helft van deze finale.

kijken hoe deze derde kwart ingeslagen in een weg waar heen en weer ballen gemist worden
en de marge van 12 punten voor de Griekse dames op het bord staan en we hebben 6. 13 te
gaan in deze derde kwart.
Het is Zoi ............................ die met een drie punter haar 12 punt van de wed. in schiet en de stand
op 44 - 27 voor haar team brengt zien we dat er maar 1.45 te gaan is in deze derde kwart
van deze finale. Waar we op 1,01 te gaan hebben is er een blessure voor Zoi Dimitrakou en
gelijk pakt ook coach Dikeoulakos zijn eerste time out van de tweede helft is
het 44 - 29 nog steeds voor Griekenland. Dan pakt na de hervatting nr. 4 Pirgit Puu van Estland de bal waar de aanvallen er voor aan beide kanten niks opgeleverd hebben en
zij maakt dan een drive naar de ring en noteert at the buzzer de stand in van derde kwart
44 - 31 voor Griekenland.
Het is wel meenens en Estland geeft niet op waar Zoi geblasseerd aan de kant blijft is de drie
punter van nr. 7 Mirjam Nikolai van Estland die de stand op 48 - 36 brengt en we hebben
ruim 7 min. te gaan in deze vierde en laatste kwart van deze finale.
Zal toch nie waar zijn toch ..... waar Pirgit Puu een out let pass krijgt en zoeff naar de ring gaat en die
verzilvert is het 50 - 39 voor Griekenland en is de time out .. de tweede van Griekenland op
6. 10 in deze vierde kwart en wacht ons een spannende slot.
Het zijn de ervarender ... of ervaren speelsters bij Griekenland die weten hoe je dit soort
situaties moet bespelen en Zoi kijkt toe van achter de bank vandaan en Estland brobeert nog een laatste slag te slaan en gaan met 58 - 43 de laatste 2 min. in van deze finale.
Het zijn Pelagia ... Aikaterina .... Olga ... aan de kant van Griekenland die veel gegeven hebben en de
jonkies daar op de bank mogen het afmaken en met de winst in deze wedstrijd 58 - 43
zijn de Griekse nationaale dames team de trechte winnaar is in deze wedstrijd en dus ook
de ticket heeft voor de soort play off rondes die hier na komen.

Coach Dikeoulakos - what am i thinking now .... eeehhh ..... too tell the trought ... what is the next game .. who`s gonna play which country we gonna play against in the next round. What we gonna do in our team which ajustments we have to use and to make ... u know .. there is always ajustments to make ... fixing things making better plans to play much better than we did in this tournament. There is always space to do somethings better and play much better than we did.

Coach Dikeoulakos - yesssssssss ... off course .... I have always faith in my team. some times u haven`t the advanteges off having bigg players. there is one thing important that is coaching the players and between
the players and all so coach there must be the thrust between them. When they thrust the coach afther that
the confidents came allong with it.
LuluHoops -for me u are the champion coach ...... 2 years a go u was working in Istanbul ... Fenerbahce and u was the champion off Turkey and u did that year get the Final 4 all so in Istanbul and last year u was working with Targoviste from Romenia and u did get the Final 8 off Women EuroLeague ....

for a long time that Greece women national team doe`s not playing the Euro Basket finals.
right now is that we want the be first team to be qualifaing too the Euro Basket 2015.
the step afther that is to get step by step to moore younger players in our national womens team.
I put lott`s off young players in this team ther are to young arround 20 years and they have ... they need
moore time to ajjust to the national team so they need moore time and thats my goal as a coach right now.

Coach Dikeoulakos - we where verry focust on the game plan. we had several strategys ... to play man to man and switching on to zone defens and to get some opponent player out off the game like on
Meriek Anderson and to change many times on the court to confuse the a lott.

we know we have a good plan ... we know that we have a good defens ... the importent thing is

i was not thinking special things .... was thinking abbout the key level off energy off my girls to put moore energy in the game and every body focust on that energy and the plan.

Coach Levkoi - that is a normal thing u know. Greece team was focust on our better players and
the get our better players out off the game in first quarter. this is a different level off games and
Greece and Estonia are not the same level countrys right now. we are gooing step by step that
high level off playing and this is too soon for our team to play high level European basketball.
i am verry happy that we can play three quarters a good level basketball against Greece but
to get this high level basketball against top European country u must play 4 quarters
high level quality basketball.

Coach Levkoi - we did play good basketball i think a normal basketball and high speed ...
fast basketball .. what i can see was that Greece was the better team than we are and all so better
than Holland so thats all off it.
